Soomaa is a tourism destination and landscape region, located on the borders of Upper and Lower Estonia, on the western slopes of Sakala Upland and in Pärnu Lowland, including the basins of the Navesti, Halliste, Raudna, Kõpu and Lemmjõgi rivers.

Soomaa National Park was created in 1993 to protect the mires, flood meadows, forests and habitats of endangered species as well as the cultural heritage.

Closest airports to Soomaa are Tallinn (2 hours drive) and Riga (3 hours drive).
